Local Author Information

I love meeting and supporting local authors and building our local book community. Because my shop is tiny and primarily used books, I don't typically stock books on consignment (I have a few related to recent or upcoming author events). Author events with The Tiny Bookshop vary from relaxed outdoor book signings in front of the shop (weather dependent) to events held at a local partner venue. At this time, the bookshop is too small for inside events. For events and signings, you bring your books, we both promote the event, sales are processed through the shop, the author receives 60% of the retail price for each book sold. We ask authors to promote their events as much as possible to help ensure a successful turnout.

• Connection to Maine and the local area

• Quality of book content, editing, and presentation

• Fit with The Tiny Bookshop focus and audience

• Social media presence or other ability to draw an audience and promote an event
